A Bit About Me
Hi! My name is Kelsey Harris and I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I specialize in working with individuals with chronic pain, chronic illness and traumatic brain injury (TBI) as well as a wide range of other issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and perinatal mental health. A feeling of isolation is very common with these issues, and I hope to support you through these challenges as we work together to improve your overall well-being.
My approach to counselling is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and holistic, so that we can work together in achieving your therapeutic goals. I have lived and professional experience with chronic pain and chronic illness, and I’m a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. I work with people of all genders, identities and backgrounds.
My primary therapeutic modality is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and I also integrate Mindfulness-based and Compassion-based therapies, as well as somatic therapies such as somatic self-regulation and yoga. I look forward to us working together.
