At CAYA Health Centre, we offer episodic health care for all women, trans, and non-binary individuals. We treat all patients and clients with presenting concerns, including: 

  • Contraception counselling
  • Routine Pap tests
  • Gentle Pap tests (For those who have had previously difficult Pap tests or require longer time) – Please email info@cayahealthcentre.com for more information
  • Intrauterine device (IUD) insertion/removal
  • Nexplanon insertion/removal
  • Breast examination
  • STI testing and treatment
  • Hormonal health, including Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Perimenopause/Menopause
  • Painful periods
  • Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Pelvic and sexual pain
  • Adult (19+) Trans Care Hormone Readiness Assessment
  • Adult (19+) Hormone starts and stabilization
  • Adult (19+) Trans Care Surgical Readiness Assessment and referrals

* Please note that we are a small practice and our current wait times for IUD insertions/removals, contraception counselling, STI testing and treatment, and Pap tests is 2-4 weeks. All other presenting concerns and consultations are booking approximately 2-4 months. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

To book a follow-up appointment with your Family Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, or our Registered Nurse, please click here. Please note that our Family Practice is currently full and not accepting new patients at this time.

For Pap tests, Breast Exams, Contraception Counselling, Hormonal Health, Pelvic Pain, STI Testing/Treatment, and/or Trans care follow-ups, please book here.

For IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, please email us at info@cayahealthcentre.com and we will send you a booking link.

Please have your family doctor complete this Referral Form. Once we receive the referral, we will send you an intake form and booking link.

Please allow ~4 weeks to process the referral.

For a Pap test, please click here. Please note: Anyone with a cervix, including women and TTGD (Two-Spirit, transgender and gender diverse) people, between the ages of 25 and 69, should screen for cervical cancer every three or five years (unless recommended by your doctor).

For all other episodic health concerns, please fill out our New Patient Intake Form and we will contact you within one week to schedule an appointment.

For Trans Care Surgical and Hormone Readiness Assessments, we currently have a waitlist. Please complete the New Patient Intake Form and we will contact you to add you to the waitlist.

If you are a current family practice patient, you are welcome to book with our nurse regarding any health concern you may have. Our nurse typically has earlier availability than our doctors. Please use the link here.

Are you feeling a bit nervous or anxious about an upcoming medical appointment or procedure? Or are you hoping to ask some health-related questions but unsure if you need to see a physician? You can also book with our Registered Nurse! She offers pre-medical support sessions that could help support you in feeling more prepared for your appointments. For all other episodic health concerns and for those who do not have a family doctor (GP), you can book in with our registered nurse for the following concerns:

  • Contraception counselling
