A Bit About Me
Hello! I’m Dr. Lauren Brandys, a provisional psychologist licensed with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC). I work with individuals and couples who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, as well as those seeking support in navigating through challenges and transitions.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where we can explore your concerns and work toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and client-centred, and I believe that therapy should be tailored to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. I draw on evidence-based tools from several therapeutic modalities including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT).
I have experience working in hospital, community mental health, and private practice settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns. I work with individuals experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and difficulty with organization, motivation, and attention. My work with couples focuses on concerns such as recurring conflict, communication difficulties, disconnection, and navigating differences within the relationship. Together, we can work toward strengthening understanding, rebuilding connection, and developing healthier ways of relating to one another.
Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply looking for additional support, I welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss your goals.
