A Bit About Me

I’m Olivia Fischer and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a provisional psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) (Formerly the College of Psychologists of British Columbia).

I support individuals navigating a wide range of experiences, including concerns related to sexuality, gender, identity, open or non-monogamous relationships, anxiety, and life transitions. My approach is open, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I aim to help clients deepen their self-understanding and build the insight needed to make meaningful choices in their lives.

As a queer, nonbinary therapist, my training and lived experience inform how I hold space for clients exploring identity and relationship challenges. I aim to approach my work with cultural humility, striving to understand each person’s unique story and social context.

My therapeutic work draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, and Somatic approaches.

In addition to supporting clients at CAYA, I also practice at the West Coast Centre of Sex Therapy.

Adult ADHD Assessments at CAYA:

Dr. Fischer offers adult ADHD assessments for individuals seeking diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, or documentation for workplace or academic accommodations. The assessment process includes:

  • Collateral information, when available and appropriate (e.g., report cards, previous assessments, or brief input from a parent, partner, or treating therapist). Collateral information helps strengthen diagnostic clarity and improves the accuracy of the assessment.
  • A 50-minute clinical interview focused on current concerns, developmental history, mental health history, and functional impact across settings.
  • Approximately one hour of self-report questionnaires assessing attention, executive functioning, and related symptoms.
  • Fee: $425 for the assessment and report.

If you would like to learn more, please book an initial consultation with me below.

* Please note Dr. Olivia Fischer’s fees for individual and couples therapy are $210.00 per 50-minute appointment. These fees are aligned with the current BC Psychological Association’s recommended hourly rate for psychological services.
