A Bit About Me
Hello and welcome! My name is Stephanie, and I am a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia, and co-founder of CAYA Health Centre and Vancouver Dietitians. I completed my dietetics degree with the University of British Columbia, and I have also completed the PCOS Training Course for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
When starting my practice, I worked as a clinical dietitian at BC Children’s & Women’s hospital, primarily in gastroenterology and eating disorders. I also worked as a sports dietitian for the Richmond Olympic Oval and Mint Club Athletics helping high performance athletes fuel their performance. I co-founded Vancouver Dietitians in 2016, focusing my practice on helping those with eating disorders and disordered eating, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), hormonal imbalances, and fueling for sport/sports nutrition. I have also developed a passion for helping folks with ADHD and OCD with tips for meal planning, as well as general meal planning and grocery shopping tips on a budget. Because let’s be honest – groceries are expensive these days!
In my practice, I have seen a pattern of women, trans, and non-binary individuals having difficulties finding comprehensive, evidence-based, and inclusive care. This was one of the main reasons I co-founded CAYA Health Centre – to provide a safe, inclusive space where those who are marginalized based on gender can feel listened to and validated. I am passionate about working with clients on the root cause instead of just the symptoms. I believe that health is more than just a number on the scale, and I strive to help people heal their relationship with food and their bodies through realistic and sustainable nutrition & lifestyle changes. I want to help you find peace with food, and feel good doing it.
In my free time, you can find me trying new restaurants around Vancouver, hanging out with my dog, and road biking around the lower mainland! I look forward to meeting you soon!
